How do we use cookies?

At MOPTIL we mostly use first party cookies, which are comprised of two categories:

  • Essential cookies, which are necessary for the technical functioning of the App. These cookies are always placed when you use our mobile application.
  • Analytics cookies, which support MOPTIL in generating anonymous App statistics. This is performed with the use of Unity (https://unity.com), a web analytics service. Unity uses cookies to help analyse the use of DigiPast and to compile reports about app activity. This information is not passed onto third parties.
  • Advertising/Third party cookies, which allow you to view content exclusively and only through our website.

Please note that the analytics and advertising/third party cookies are not automatically stored in your device when you use our App and will only be placed if you provide your consent.

What cookies do we use specifically?

The following first-party cookies are used in the MOPTIL’s website:

  • XSRF-Token (duration: 1 year) - set by the MOPTIL website to help with site security in preventing Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks.
Analytics cookie:
  • Moptil_session (duration: 1 year) - set by the MOPTIL website to generate anonymous App statistics.

What type of information do we collect via the MOPTIL’s analytics cookie?

Cookie from Unity enables MOPTIL to track the following information about users. We use this information to prepare aggregated, anonymous statistics reports of user activity:
  • Engagement time
  • Crashes
  • Daily active users
  • Type of user

MOPTIL retains full control of the data collected through first-party cookies by storing the data in servers controlled by us. Anonymised data are stored for an indefinite period by MOPTIL for analysis purposes.

What type of information do we collect via the MOPTIL’s advertising cookie?

  • Targeted information based on the users’ preferences on Facebook.
